Group Therapy

Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy where a small group of individuals meet regularly with a trained therapist to work on shared concerns, develop skills, and support one another's growth. It provides a unique opportunity to connect with others facing similar challenges, practice new ways of relating, and experience the healing power of being understood and accepted by others.

What is Group Therapy?

Group therapy brings together individuals who share common struggles or goals in a structured, confidential setting. Unlike individual therapy, group therapy offers the opportunity to learn from others' experiences, receive multiple perspectives, practice interpersonal skills in real time, and build meaningful connections that combat isolation.

Groups are carefully composed and facilitated to create a safe, supportive environment where members can explore their difficulties, try new behaviors, and receive honest feedback. The group itself becomes a microcosm of the social world, allowing you to understand your patterns in relationships and experiment with new ways of connecting.

Research shows that group therapy is as effective as individual therapy for many conditions, and for certain concerns—particularly those involving relationships, social skills, or isolation—group therapy may be even more powerful. There's something profoundly healing about realizing you're not alone in your struggles and experiencing acceptance from others who truly understand.

Benefits of Group Therapy
